Age of Steam Roundhouse

Located in the heart of Amish country, The Age of Steam Roundhouse, Sugarcreek, Ohio, is a museum housing steam and diesel locomotives, passenger cars and other railroad equipment in a modern roundhouse, the first such facility built in the United States since 1951. The collection consists of 22 steam locomotives in an 18-stall brick roundhouse that includes a full working back shop facility, 115-foot turntable and pit, and other yard amenities such as coal dock, wood water tank and ash pit.

Attendees will travel by motor coach to the facility on Friday, September 13, 2024, to experience a guided tour of the roundhouse and back shop. Lunch will be provided. Tour cost to be determined. This tour will be coupled with a spouse activity trip to nearby Berlin, Ohio, a town with a wide variety of Amish shopping and dining experiences.

It is expected that a steam locomotive will be in operation during the tour.
